Makes a cute candle, but it is difficult to remove when dried.
Thank you for your feedback! We're glad you like the Morel mold. We recommend using a light coat of mold release spray before pouring your wax for easier removal. This was my favorite candle of the 3 molds I purchased. No problem releasing with the bit of silicone sprayed in the mold first. Maybe will try sometime without that, but not yet. It shrank from the sides well, all on its own. No slits in the mold, but no problem. As a newbee, I didn't know, but reading the description elsewhere, was reassured all was will without them.
Hi there! Thank you for leaving a review for our 6' Dinner Taper Mold. We're so glad to hear that it was your favorite out of the 3 molds you purchased. We always recommend using a bit of silicone spray when releasing candles from molds, so we're happy to hear that worked well for you. As for lack of slits in the mold, the dinner tapers a tapered and because of this they do not require a slit in order to get them out. We try to place the slits where they will be needed to get the candles out of the mold. We appreciate your feedback and hope you continue to enjoy using our products. Happy candle making!
Mold worked well. I poured at a temp just above melting as I saw advised a couple of places. Don't know if that was necessary for sure, but got great definition and good release, and this was the first time I've worked with beeswax for candles. The hardest part was just to do it, and Beelite is a big help with the recommended wick sizes on most of the molds. At least it helps with confidence to just get in there and do it. Nice to be able to buy wax labeled from the US, also.

We wanted to make short tapered candles to use for emergency power outages and these molds did the trick. I picked up some of the molds at the NAHBE but my wife wanted more so she could make bigger batches. These molds are easy to use and we are able to make candles pretty quickly. Beelite is a great company to work with!
