The genesis of Beelite Candles began over sixty-five years ago in the apiary of my father, Stanley Trescott. As a conscientious beekeeper, my father regularly rendered the beeswax left over after extracting honey from his many hives. In 2001, Tim started working on refining the beeswax, through a filtration system, in order to provide finer, superior quality beeswax. Using a filtration system, rather than bleaching agents to process the wax, we keep the beeswax as pure as nature intended.
By March of 2002, we felt we could eventually provide to the general public a high quality, all-natural beeswax candles, and ornaments at a truly competitive price, and BEELITE CANDLES began.
The family has migrated honeybees from Florida to New York for many years. Beelite Candles relocated to the Mountains of North Carolina in 2011. As Fourth Generation Beekeepers, Tim’s sons, Adam and Zach have worked in the family Apiary with bees and wax since they were old enough to crack open a hive. Tim and his sons know the wax operation from beginning to end, or from worker bee to wick. Tim’s wife Penny and daughters Emily and Hannah are a tremendous help in turning the wax into Beautiful Candles. They enjoy taking the CANDLES to the craft fairs in our local area.
Emily has become quite the beekeeper, learning the business from the hive to the finished product of candles. Beelite Candles commits to keeping the beeswax pure. Beeswax is one of Mother Nature's purest and efficient product for making candles.
In 2006 Beelite Candles added a line of Soy wax candles.
In 2010, Beelite Candles added All Natural Handmade Soaps.
